Does anybody know what style the rear mufflers are on the xlr8 cat back? Like straight through? Chambered? Turbo? It’s not super important; I’m just curious and haven’t been able to find any info.

 

If I remember correctly from my research they use a hybrid straight through perforated core design with some interesting baffling for sound tuning. XLR8 contracts their spec through Billy Boat Exhaust, which is an established fabricator of awesome sounding Corvette and other performance vehicle exhausts. I have the kit for my UA9 and I love it! The sound is on the loud side of our options, and quite unique IMO. Doesn't sound like the normal Honda/Japanese Jseries exhaust tone... it's almost Italian/exotic sounding to me, which is why I love it.

Others may have a different opinion, but I really like the unique tone. I have a few video clips in the exhaust thread along with a few other members that have the XLR8 catback and J-pipe.
