Pics or Drawings of E-Shift Cats
Pics or Drawings of E-Shift Cats
I'm really confused after looking at the service manual and being under the car looking at things.
I see the pipes coming off the heads going into one pipe (very badly at that), into a CAT then into the resonator, mid-muffler and then split to the final mufflers.
Does anyone have any pics or drawings of the e-shift cats? Is it just the cat itself you purchase or does it include better piping from the heads down to the cat? I saw references to 3 cats and I have no idea where the other 2 would go.
I also couldn't figure out from the searching that since the pro-cats are not stamped as CARB certified, but the metal cats are, can you get them in either type?
Last thing, is there a performance difference between the Pro and Metal cats?
I'm sorry if this has been hashed over before, I just couldn't seem to find any posts with this specific information.

E-shifts pro cat is what they are calling the products they've designed and built, using metal cat catalytic converters. It consists of 3 cats, each modified with custom piping and flanges so that they can bolt right up to our car. you can see one cat on the front of your engine, right? theres another placed symmetrically on the back of the engine, then one more under the car, right after the zig-zagging j-pipe. Hope this helped.
Ah, just went out to the car....didn't realize there were cats coming off the heads, I was looking from the bottom of the car.
So you get the 3 cats and reuse the piping that connects the 2 cats from the heads to the 3rd on the bottom?
Thanks for the info, helps a lot.
