We just got our shipment of TAKEDA intakes!!!

nope. since its a short-ram, its soooo damn easy. you dont even have to remove the entire stock air intake.. and the OEM piping (actually still brings cooler air into the engine bay near the takeda intake

The way it's stuck now I don't think it'll go anywhere.
I didn't need to use both hoses that came with the assembly.

I installed my Saturday and the intake note is well worth the $238 I spent. It's a night and day difference in performance too, much more responsive after you pass 2700 rpm's.
Ha, I love that second video......hot rodding in the Best Buy parking lot.....ballin'

lol. yea, once VTEC kicks in... its a monster...
With my AEM Cold Air Intakes, you never really heard anything until you got into VTEC.. thats why i like this intake, you get an aggressive tone, without having to destroy the throttle

Did you ever dyno to see if any visible HP was present?

For the people who installed it to a 2009 TL SH-AWD, did you we left with a coupler? I got my intake and prepared some pieces but there is a rubber tubbing (a coupler) that doesn't seems to be in any instruction.
Part description: 05-00636 and 05-00824,
I guess it's for the 3.5 TL but I wanted to be sure.
Thank you!

Takeda really hit this intake out of the park, I dont think I have read one negative remark about its performance, thats probably why its one of their top selling intakes. An impressive start for this new division of AFE. I think next year they are going to start making some other products tb spacer and perhaps an exhaust.

So mine installed today!
First: a big to Takeda for developping a very fine product!
Second: another big to Excelerate and their grade A+ customer service. So Josh, I thank you with my french-canadian accent!
I'm eager to post results as I'll have a long road trip this saturday (Thanksgiving in Canada). I'll look mainly at passing power and gas mileage.
Next are UR pulley and TB spacer!

i'm saving up for a free cruise with my points
Here's a little bit of a funny story. I went to Excelerate a few weeks ago to pick up the Kaixen HID for my fog lights. Well $75 of the cost for the lights was paid by Lexus.
A month after i bought my TL, Lexus sent me an invitation to test drive a new or CPO car and if i did they would send me a $75 visa gift card. I think its funny lexus helped pay to mod my acura

as far as power...haven't dynoed.
#196
No dyno for me yet but I'll noticed an improvement in my daily commute mpg (40 miles roundtrip) from 25 to over 27....that's an 8% improvement.....so based on the savings in fuel....the Takeda intake will pay for itself after two years of filling up (if current variables stay constant of course)!

I believe this intake will fit on with no problem, alot of room in there so we'll see.

Let us know how the intake effects your Dyno, I don't think anyone Dynoed a 3.7 yet.

Yes CleanCL dynoed with me on same dyno, his car was stock though.I am sure I will pickup a bit of power along with the exhaust mods I have done. 037 just curious have you clocked your RL 0-60 times at all?? just curious.

I don't know if this has been asked already but will it void the warranty or something ? Thats what the dealer was saying if you install an after market product it will...I really want it but im not sure lol
