I have this intake, I think you will really like it, Takeda makes a quality product. Here is a link to the video of my car being dyno'd with the intake

Correct.

buckvegas 07-08-2009 10:54 AM

Takeda thinks this intake may work with the awd. They are looking to send one to an awd owner to confirm fitment. Pm me of your interested in details and my contact at takedas info.

I should have some slotted/drilled and slotted ROTORA rotors in the store in about 2 weeks.

Yes. Just create an account on the web store and add the parts to the cart and you will be able to see shipping costs.

CleanCL 07-08-2009 12:47 PM

I asked buckvegas for the contact info, I think all it will take is a different coupler.

BLACKURA_NY 07-08-2009 07:37 PM

^ nice... are you going to be the test fitter?

777mycoolangelo 07-08-2009 10:09 PM

Okay ordered mine yesterday!

Buck you still lovin the intake?

777mycoolangelo 07-08-2009 10:10 PM

Also are the filters re-usable after cleaning?

buckvegas 07-08-2009 10:15 PM

Yes I still Love my intake and yes they are reusable.

Melba Toast 07-09-2009 05:25 PM

Ordered my intake last night! Can't wait!

bmode 07-09-2009 07:58 PM

Pretty cool to see it dyno'd. What's up with the Euro tech music? Next time I'll hook you up with a better score.

venom550pm 07-09-2009 08:24 PM

yeah, the dyno is pretty cool.

buckvegas 07-09-2009 10:49 PM

Takedas music selection is kind of out there. All their dyno videos have the same euro technoish flavor

777mycoolangelo 07-14-2009 09:08 PM

Hey Buck,

I just installed my Intake. One thing...in Park are you limited to 5000 RPM? Sounds good though!

BLACKURA_NY 07-14-2009 09:11 PM

^ most 5AT cars are limited in Park... All my Acuras wouldnt go over 5k in Park

buckvegas 07-14-2009 09:25 PM

Ya I am limited in park.

777mycoolangelo 07-14-2009 10:50 PM

alright thought it was the intake.

That's a good question. UPS guy should be dropping mine off today.

Melba Toast 07-15-2009 09:24 PM

What did you do with the little black vacuum valve attached to the metal tube that gets removed? It's on my 3.7L motor and I believe I can see it in Takeda's directions. But they make no note on what to do with it. I zip tied mine to the strut bar.

Can you post a pic? I don't think I had anything like that on mine.

buckvegas 07-15-2009 10:41 PM

looks good Melba. I love my intake as well. Overall I am very impressed with the quality of Takeda. They have some big plans for this division of AfE. Next they are going to produce TB spacer for the TL, followed by a possible exhaust.

CleanCL 07-15-2009 11:01 PM

Hard to see, but if you follow the silver metal tube, you can see there is tab on the bottom. That is where the Vacuum actuator thing clipped on.

Very good to know. After seeing how good the fit and finish of this intake is, I would be first in line for there other products. i still can't believe the sound this intake makes.....

I just left it. It didn't seem to hang down or anything.

Melba Toast 07-15-2009 11:04 PM

BTW, will that throttle body spacer work on the 3.5? Do you notice any difference with it?

CleanCL 07-15-2009 11:15 PM

I'm not sure if it will fit, contact Josh at Excelerate. He is vendor here who stocks them.

http://excelerateperformance.com/contact.htm

I did the spacer in combination with thermal gaskets for the spacer and intake manifold. I noticed the throttle body and manifold much cooler, and low end was more responsive. It has shown to give about 4-5whp across the entire RPM band.

buckvegas 07-15-2009 11:20 PM

I asked Josh about the p2r spacer a few weeks ago. He said it won't fit but that are working on one for the 3.5L.

Melba Toast 07-15-2009 11:39 PM

You seem to have all the information Buck, lol...that's good, I'm just going to ask you from now on. Thanx

Shambu 07-27-2009 12:13 PM
