New Exhaust

Looks like OBX has created an exhaust for the 09-14 TL FWD 3.5L models with quad tips. That's ridiculously cheap ($399) for a cat-back. I'm guessing it's probably junk but I must say I've heard some videos of their 04-08 TL exhausts and they have more of a quieter OEM sport exhaust sound which I liked. Quality wouldn't be even close to ALTP or XLR8 exhausts though.

Honestly, while I wouldn't want an OBX exhaust on my car, hopefully more lower end companies like OBX and Megan start producing cheaper exhausts for our cars. Maybe it would force companies like ATLP to come down on their price a little bit. I don't mind paying more for a high end part but considering it is mostly a cosmetic noise maker, I think $1500+shipping is a bit much.

Cruzan, the image on the site is single round outlet/tip, while suitable for a 3G base, I think that would look horrible on a 4G.

Yeah. I've see a couple 4G's with single tip exhausts and they don't look very good.

I checked Ebay last night and some vendors were selling this new OBX exhaust for $350 bucks. It would be interesting to see what the quality, fit, and sound is like on this. I wonder if you can even just run the mufflers if they'd bolt up to the OEM midpipe?

Someone on FB group said he just installed OBX on his 4G.

Think this will cause any CELs? Would be willing to give it a try.

No. A catback exhaust bolts on behind all of the O2 sensors.

Quite a few 3G guys have this exhaust here are a couple sound clips:

Only mod is the OBX exhaust:

OBX exhaust and Tsudo j-pipe:

I find it has a little more volume than what you'd find in an OEM sport exhaust. Either way kind of cool to see more companies getting into making aftermarket products for the 4G.

Not bashing you wreck for posting videos, but the difference in sound between 3.5 to 3.7 is big; I think displacement alters exhaust note heavily.

Well, since the OBX exhaust is only made for the 3.5L FWD 4G....

As mentioned the OBX is only made for the 09-14 3.5L model, they don't offer one for the SH-AWD with the 3.7...

Ah... thank you for correction. I really wonder how those would look on a 4G rear.

No problem, I'm curious too, I haven't seen any specs on what size the tips are.

Seems pretty tamed compared to ATLP and XLR8.
