the description should be listed in the tunes that show what mods they were meant for. What year and model of car?

do you have any mods to the car? As far as I know there is a tune for an intake and also another tune for running without catalysts. The preset tunes get you pretty close, and you can use a company or person to do E-Tuning or in person tuning on a dyno for best results.

I have deleted both resonators and mufflers and added duel tips, cold air intake and a throttle body spacer. I am waiting for a jpipe and cat deletes

Exhaust mods should always be first Can't rake in more air without letting more out. Ktuner for FWD has 1 base map, the SHAWD has 3 base maps. I believe intake is none of them. So need the exhaust mods. You should pull all the mods off that are not specific for the tunes and put them back on during a real tune from a professional.

This is correct ^^^
Ktuner states in the software any modifications to the air intake will need a custom tune to make sure things are running properly. As to what the different available basemap tunes actually do, I am not sure what parameters each one adjusts... but I am also curious. It would be great to get a better understanding of the differences. Increasing levels of ignition/fuel, cam angle, duration...??

With that said, everyone's engine behaves a little different. I recently installed the 3.5" K&N intake on my 3.7 SH-AWD and the car loves it. LTFT's are reading better than before and there is a noticeable butt dyno feeling that the car is less choked for air (little better get up and go, IMO). Currently running the "Tune2" basemap from Ktuner with my supporting mods.

I believe Tunes 3&4 are for full exhaust including PCD's. But again this is for the 3.7L engines and I'm sure there are differences depending on if you have an Auto or Manual.

i installed HFPC and Jpipe on my AWD 3.7. There isnt a tune for HFPC + Jpipe only so i picked the tune 3 HFPC + Jpipe + exhaust.

Changing the exhaust wo t do that much besides the mid muffler so it's okay to choose that one. I also suggest getting a new catback or atleast doing the mid muffler delete. That's my personal opinion for the health and long-term life of your engine.

My car feels a little zippier but I wouldnt say I see a big increase in power. It is kind of expected with bolt ons. I did notice a nice rumble on cold starts and a bit more rumble when stepping on the gas. I like it because car is only loud when putting petal to the metal. lol. Also i did notice an increase in gas milage. maybe 1-2 mile per gallon.

I would seriously do pre cat deletes or high flow pre cats and a J-pipe first. Those 2 things will release the power of your motor and allow it to breathe alot better.. the stock exhaust does not sound bad at all.. so those 2 things and you could easily mid muffler delete at a muffler shop for like $45 just to cut out the middle muffler and weld in a straight pipe while still having the 2 main end mufflers and it will sound so mean. High flow cats are expensive so if you go the route of the pre cat delete just replace the mid muffler with a nice resonator and you're golden. Then you can save up and put a nice cat back on later or ktune it.

will the car still pass smog with the pre cat deletes? And how many pre cat deletes are there that I can replace?

Depends on the rules where you live... If there's stringent testing then no it won't pass and you can get high flow pre cats. PCD and hfpc come in pairs as there are 2 pre cats.

As he said above me. P2R can do E-tunes for you just send them a shout! And if you care about numbers later just hop on a dyno and see what it makes when you find convenience.
