I can confirm for you. Not much chance of driver error in a 2012 TL fwd.
Went from about a 90 roll. Pulled hard on him to 130. He, eventually, came motoring past. Turns out that ILXs have about 8 mph on us top end.

i am so smart S M R T

2013 ILX has tuning options.. 09-14 TL doesnt.. until then ilx will have more potential to beat a TL

As to why, why not? He seemed to be very excited to get thumped and I was bored. I figured he probably had the same Acura Legal Team designed speed limiter that I did. Bad guess on my part.

Trent, team3d, and I have the most tuned ILXs documented on the internet and that isn't shit. Now look at what the 09 type s guys are doing and tell me again that the ILX has more options.

maybe i missed the other joke.. i was just commenting on the fact that ILX (in general)have more potential to be faster with then a TL due to the tuning options (being able to add boost)

Im just confused someone could think the ILX has more tuning options. I just did a quick search that shows TLs running turbos and superchargers. I believe CT and Comptech have produced nice superchargers and there are 2 turbo tls that have been on this site.
With that being said, there has been ONE ilx supercharged and that was for a sema build only.
The 2009 TL Type S having been around longer, seen more tuning, and having a more powerful starting platform; Id say the TL is easily going to be a tuners first pick.

Stock is 138. Have no idea what can be done with tuning if anything.
Based on my current experiences, the TL is quicker than an ILX to 130, but somewhat slower than a 3rd gen Viper. I know, I don't know why he was racing me either. I guess he was as bored as I was the day I messed with the ILX.

I'd assume any stock TL is slower than any Viper?
I've yet to race my TL on a track, so I don't have an official 0-60 & 1/4, although I have every bolt on less a cat back. A lot of the common complaints members have about throttle lag or lack of getup after certain speeds are non existent in my car. Throttle response is instant, I have a good amount of low end torque & the car pulls hard all the way up the the limiter.
130 limiter is way too low and the fact that the ILX has a higher limiter is insulting.

I had pretty much made peace with the idea of a 130 mph limiter until I saw the ILX at 138. It's not that it's going to keep me from getting to the grocery store with a certain sense of style, but it is irritating.

I walked a 13 TL-shawd from 60 all the way to my 150 cutoff in my 2nd gen

2013 ILX has flashpro tuning a 09-13 TL doesnt.. with that said the ILX has more potential to go fast then the new gen TL's do (unless you know something we dont know about the tuning options for the new TLs???).. its just a matter of time before someone adds a rotrex kit, turbo, or a supercharger to the ILX who knows maybe someone has and we dont know it.. lots of people out there with money to burn..
