I'm going with something new and unique, going to drop weight on the car and add the loudest air roar on any TL. This weekend I'm looking to remove all of my windows including the windshield and rear window as well. This will increase the roar of air flow considerably, it will also drop a few pounds. I'm assuming close to 2-3 hundred pounds. I won't need the switches either to roll the windows up and down, that's more weight there. This mod will get me 2 extra HP I'm thinking but the weight savings and extra air my car will receive it should be close to a 50-75 hp increase with a TQ pickup around 100. I would like potsmilk thoughts on this.

It's not a fail at all, look at people commenting on it. A troll thread doesn't need to evoke an emotional reaction either, just a reaction is what it's meant for. As for humor it wasn't meant to be that, just another stupid pointless thread about a mod that will not help a TL in any way at all. Just like all the other pointless performance mods on here. The exhaust is more for a sound mod than anything else at all. I just think it's funny that people consider the TL a sports car, this is where the sarcasm comes into play.

There are no mods you can do to your TL right now that benefit your TL for hp or QT. There needs to be a few more mods available and a tune to get the benefits. Go to any speed shop and talk to the guys. I already responded to this in another thread. If you want to be realistic about the mods and do some homework you will find out exactly what I'm talking about.

There are dyno charts to prove there are gains to be had with certain mods. Just because you think it's pointless to mod the TL does not make it right for you to critize others and tell them what they can and cannot do to their cars. I don't really car about performance for my car, it handles well and has an excellent chassis. I'm more into the appearance and while others like to keep it stock (like yourself apparently). You signed up to an enthuisiasts forum, what were you expecting from this?

I'm not telling anyone not to mod their car, I simply said all of the mods available are worthless for hp and TQ gains. There are other mods needed to open up the available mods, until those are available the gains of performance mods for the TL are pointless. The exhaust is the only thing that I personally see that has a purpose and that's only if you like the tone of an aftermarket exhaust.

 

I also think it's funny that you guys need to stoop to photoshop threats and personal threats and you can't respond on this forum with an actual comment other than, I'm gonna post your photos. Be more original come on now.

Couldn't find a TL but it's close enough.
