With a catback exhaust, is it better to have a high flow cat or a race pipe? Whats the difference and what gives you the most gains? Is there a sound difference between the two? Like drone for example.

As far as I know:
Race Pipe - slight more gain but not noticeable, smells, inspection fail, sounds a bit more raspier.
HFC - opposite of race pipe but costs double

Hope this helps you decide....
A resonator is a smaller muffler that sits in the pipe passing under the car. It has the effect of lowering the volume of the exhaust a bit, sound-wise. You typically get less droning and overall less noise with a resonator. If you want to feel and hear the exhaust more, pass on it. If you want a more conservative increase in sound, get the resonated version!

Having a catalyst is a quieter alternative than the Race Pipe, only barely. The Race Pipe provides a slightly throatier exhaust note.
The best way to determine if you want a Race Pipe or Hi-Flow catalyst is to run with the cat-back system only for at least a month to two, so you can allow the system to break in and the driver to become used to it. That way you can determine if you want a slightly more throaty note, or if you want to keep it the way it is (sound wise), but want to free up a bit more power.
Quick question. Do I want resonated or non resonated?
Eazy, your car looks amazing, from what I can tell in your avatar!

Hey I am always around, I thought it would be more appropriate for mike to answer the questions on his product. I love my exhaust, it has tamed down a bit, or I am just used to it now. I have had tons of compliments from people on how great it sounds. The performance gains are sick as well.

Mike from ATLP had mentioned taking sound clips the next time we meet up for final dyno. I am not sure when thats going to be. I don't own a video camera so the only way I can film a sound clip would be from my iPhone. Since this is a big release for ATLP, I want to make sure the audio and video is of the highest quality. If I posted an iPhone video it would not serve the proper purpose IMO. I know there have been numerous sound clip requests and I am sure they will eventually happen. Sorry I can't be of more assistance, but I am sure ATLP realizes the importance of the dyno and audio clips to move units.

Thats a good enough response for me lol. Seems to be taking forever for a sound clip, but patience is a virtue..... unfortunately Im not very virtuous.

Yeah but I just wanna hear it lol..... I was looking on excelerate's website and there is an axle back for the awd from CTE. Did anybody know that and if so are there any sound clips of that?
And yes petec, I have other things to spend money on as well, like my new wheels

I see the cat-back is $1300 but if you want to add the J-pipe and HFC, each additional part cost over $300. Are they worth it?
Thanks for your help,
Travis

So Buck, what specific setup (J-pipe/HFC/Race Pipe) do you have and your suggestions? ATLP has several different combos offered on heeltoeauto.com
