Excelerate Performance: XLR8 Exhaust Groupbuy!!!
This is a Groupbuy for the XLR8 Exhaust for the 09+ TL SH-AWD.
XLR8 Performance Exhaust System are designed for function, form and style. Each exhaust system starts with T-304 stainless steel, known throughout the industry as the highest quality material practical for after-cat exhaust applications. All exhaust tubing is mandrel bent on sophisticated CNC machinery for a precise fit and uninterrupted exhaust flow. What’s more, the use of T-304 stainless steel flanges offers high strength and complete resistance to harsh elements. All hangers, resonators, and tips are T-304 stainless steel as well.
The mufflers used are built specifically for each system and are designed in accord with years of racing and street development invested into the design. Each muffler is tuned to match its application for the best possible performance gain and sound quality combination. Each muffler is polished to a high gloss beautiful finish; the rest of the stainless steel system is finished in a natural satin finish.

Drove to CT and picked mine up; couldn't wait on AZ group buy as you guys are obviously slacking.
Haven't installed it yet (it's on the floor of my mantuary), but from the looks of it the welds are great and the tips are glorious . Can't wait to install it!

I would be interested but my past experiences with after market exhaust systems has been that they tend to "drone" a bit too much in steady state or cruising mode for my tastes. One system was actually headache inducing.

EDIT:
Yep, the XLR8 exhaust is a great mod on the 4G TL. Gotta hear and see it in person to appreciate. Sounds so mean and deep. Am constantly getting stop by other drivers asking questions and loving the looks and sound of my exhaust.
Also, I really like the in cabin noise reducing technology on this exhaust ...It's nice to not have all that drone and in cabin noise and be able to have a conversation in the car without having to speak loud.

I am glad you posted that video. That is not the sound I wanted to achieve. To me, it sounds to loud. I just want to change the tips but keep the quiet.
I may end up seeing if I can get the dealer to swap out for the '11 SH-AWD tips or something... I dunno

No offense but I don't care for that sound... to my ears, it reminds me of these ricers running around here with 4-bangers and big exhaust pipe.... but that is just me. I will see what other solution I can come up with or just live with the stock tips.
I stlll want to see this installed on yours!

We have built in Purge Resonance Technology into our mufflers in order to reduce drone in our exhaust systems and it has been quite effective.
The exhaust is not loud but it isn't quiet. If you want quiet you want the stock exhaust or maybe even the CT-Engineering axle backs.
The exhaust sounds nothing like a ricer or a 4-banger. It is a deep, throaty exhaust note that almost sounds exotic.

Sounds good, ill try to call tommorow while im at work.. Do you know if its going to fit on a 2012 SH-AWD? As far as I can tell there havent been any major changes to the back fenders. If so let me know !

I am wondering the same thing too. Acura changed the shape of the rear as well as the lower rear lip area. I am still contemplating the exhaust but would hate like hell to tear apart my exhaust and find that it doesn't fit.

Ok, so ill drive up to you guys pay for the install to see if it fits, and for it being the first one you can find out for yourselves! (at a discount for the install ?) ;D
But in all seriousness, what do you charge for the installation and what is the time frame that you would need the car? I live in DC, please let me know!

I recommend putting on a set of headphones when listening to exhaust tones on video... speakers does not always do it justice if you want to accurately listen for exhaust note and drone in videos.

^ i dont think this one has "ended" yet.. but Josh might need a few more people willing to purchase
i love mine too... its probably the nicest sounding exhaust i've ever had..... ATLP was too loud at the time. the Comptech was a little too soft... This one is just right . definitely has people looking at my car more.
