Wiring Emergency Lights.

Hey guys,

So I have a few questions about hard-wiring some emergency lights. I'm an EMT-B w/ a blue-light permit. Figured I'd get some lights since I'm now doing a few nights on-call starting in the summer. I ordered a set of grill LEDs (6x 2inch wide) and 2 sets of dash lights (one set of 6x 7inch LED bars, and one center-piece)

The Center piece is a direct connection to a cigarette socket, which I'm gonna cut off and plug into a power source. The dash and grill lights have control boxes. Now here's the annoying part.

The control boxes have the dimensions as follows: 3-1/16” W x 1” H x 1-7/8” D

I have no idea where I'm gonna put these. They're too big for the little "not an ashtray" area, and I can only fit one by the compartment near the gas pedal. I don't really want to place them in the arm-rest compartment. Does anyone have an idea of where I might hide these? (w/ easy access to turn on/off the lights)

I'm going to run a line from the battery, using 12awg wires and a 7.5A inline-fuse. I'm looking for a place to run the wires through the firewall, does where can I feed the wires through? I tried looking for something, but couldn't really access anything so far. I'll take a look again tomorrow, but any pictures or leads on where to look (preferably driver-side) would be awesome.

Edit: Just found this: https://acurazine.com/forums/4g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-294/4th-gen-firewall-access-easy-way-883672/ so the firewall issue is solved! But he says to use 4 or 8 gauge wire... Is that too thick? I would assume 12 gauge would be thick enough for a low-power usage like this

Thanks!
