Weak Satellite Radio signal?

Hello everyone,

I'm new to Acura (just bought a 2012 TL FWD) and I seem to have a lot of dropoffs with the satellite radio. I just came from a VW Jetta (MKV) and had an aftermarket Pioneer in there with the Sirius kit and very rarely had dropoffs. With the TL, I have dropoffs in the same spots as the Pioneer, but then also in 10x more spots during my typical commute.

Normally, with AM/FM, aftermarket decks seem to suck compared to stock units, so I was surprised to experience this with the satellite. Anybody else experience something similar? Any fixes and/or ways to boost the satellite reception?

Any assist would be greatly appreciated.

Ps. Also, I notice the audio quality of the satellite radio overall in the car is kind of lousy. CDs and my connected iPod sound great with the ELS system, but XM sounds muddy and flat (high treble or base, just middle of the road). Anybody else noticed this?
