Turn off Display While Driving

2009 TL - did some search here and found "Setup" "Display Off" for an 08, I cannot find Display Off on my 09 after Setup. Any help will be appriciated.

^right, I have a 3rd gen(04-08)

we can go into the setup screen and press display off.
also, we can use the voice feature.

in addition, if you dont press okay on the nag screen, it will just go blank.

Not sure if this info is useful to you 4Gers.

Press Display Mode button to cycle thru Day/Night/screen OFF modes (Nav manual pg. 10).

'Haven't tried turning OFF my screen since I have a wallpaper turned ON.

on my 2010 tech, there is a button on the bottom left by the radio, which cycles through bright -- dim -- off.

2012 TL Tech has a brightness button as well. It cycles day/night brightness (and off).

Thanks all - I remember seeing that button but thought is was just for night and day - I'll try it on the way home.
