Temperature

Hi, im new on here so and just need some clarification. Everytime I turn the fan button to on i notice that the a/c in function always on, even when I turn it off later the a/c will be on if turn the fan on.. Is this a default feature where we have to turn the a/c off each time we hit the fan button to on??.

Also the auto temp button when I hit mine, it goes full blast and a/c. How exctly does the auto feature work?.. Please explain and thanks in advance

A/C can be turned off by pressing the A/C button. It will turn the compessor off in every function except defrost.

In the Auto mode, the A/C compressor always stays on producing cool air.

According to the displayed set temp, the computer then controls the amount of "A/C cool air" and "heater core hot air" getting mix together and getting blown out of the various vents.

auto feature brings the temp down inside cabin by reading the outside temps.

and yes, if you want the fan on only without ac being on you will either have to push the ac button everytime or set your temps to where a/c will not go on.. like 72 degrees or so

This is what I do: turn fan on. Turn off AC. before I get out of the car, I turn the fan to low. I leave it like that and manage the temp fan from there. This stops the AC from always coming on, but your auto feature will not be working. 6 in one 1/2 dozen in the other. I just really don't like AC unless it is really hot out.

If you have Tech Package, just set the fan speed, temp, and AC off and set it to 1or 2 depending on fob you have and your settings should hold. I set my default temp settings for winter/summer because I am in Canada. Brrr....
