Problem with switchbacks blowing fuses

I installed the 1157 switchbacks in my parking lights a few months ago. ('09 TL SH-AWD) I installed them with the 50w 60ohm load resistors. I hooked them up the correct way. (the same as this thread.. black and grey, and green and grey) https://acurazine.com/forums/4g-tl-2009-2014-123/g-007-how-install-1157-switchbacks-4th-gen-tl-09-11-a-867595/

A few weeks ago, both of my tail lights went out and so did my driver side parking light. I checked the fuse, and the one going to that circuit has blown. (my passenger side parking light still works.) My turn signal on the driver side switchback still works fine, even with the blown fuse.

I have switched bulbs and resistors and I still get the blown fuse. The last time I hooked up the new stuff, all the bulbs worked for a day or so, then the fuse blew again.

Im not sure what the issue is. I am contemplating just going back to factory... which is not what I want. Any help would be appreciated.

go back to factory is your best bet.. see if anything goes wrong with oem parts.. if nothing goes wrong its either your set up or your wiring..

its not rocket science to wire it up so my best bet is that you have a faulty bulb or resistor

Yeah, check out factory bulbs. I have the same setup as you but in a '12 TL and it's been running great, no blown fuses. Had it going for about a year now.

Thanks for the replies.

I switched both the bulb and resistor, so I cant imagine its either of those. I also know I installed them correctly.

I really don't want oem orange parking lights... any ideas out there?
