Nav Screen conversion to Video?

I had a 2005 TL with the nav screen converted so I could watch my video ipod on it or DVD's from a dvd player in the trunk. It was awesome. It's great for passengers. I bought the kit from a guy who advertised on these forums.

Do they make a kit for the 2010?

Thanks

Schrady

I dont think that it's available. As far as I understand it (I'm getting my 2010 tomorrow), the nav is all harddrive based, and not disc based, so there may not be any codecs to support video.

Don't need codecs

All you need is the I/O to the screen and a toggle switch. The player will handle all the codecs etc.... Like a computer monitor, I just want to take over the screen with my input.

ahh, so you want an external input like a dvd player or ipod etc.

Then yes, I'd assume you are correct.

Please provide me with the cost and information on where I could get this navi conversion kit. I own a '07 TL and would like to perform this type conversion.
