Nav debug menu

Has anyone played around with the nav system's hidden diagnostic menu? It's accessible by holding down the Map/Guide, Cancel, and Menu buttons at the same time for a few seconds. I went hunting around for this hoping there was a way to disable the disclaimer screen, there isn't, but there's some cool undocumented stuff you can do in there.

For example, you can:
  • Turn on the rear-view monitor while driving forward
  • Export/import driver settings to USB
  • Export log of GPS coordinates to USB
  • View car position/altitude and GPS satellite information
  • View yaw sensor output
Does anyone know of anything else you can do with this?

Welcome Eli! Most of the "older" 4G'ers got into this menu back in December. The annoying start up screen is here to stay until someone hacks it or Acura releases an update. The one thing that I liked was lifting the restriction of the HDD. You can also adjust the interior mic level to your voice levels, and calibrate the VGA.

now to figure out what and how to get more data in to the system or out of it. so that the wince backend can be exploited.

I'm not seeing any of those options.
Also I have to hold Map/Guide, Cancel, and Info. I have no button labeled Menu on my 2012.

Sure. That's where those little white dots come from (unless you turned that feature off). Your phone likely does too. All the device manufacturers seem to think that we want our gear to track our location even though they usually don't let us have or erase that data.
