iPod Search Question
Hey guys. I just got my 2010 TL SH-AWD w/ Tech and had a quick question concerning an iPod. So, I have a rather large amount of songs and artists on my iPod, and when I search for an artist/song that is near the end of the alphabet it takes forever to get there because I have to keep turning the knob for an eternity. So I guess my question would be is there any shortcut in getting to a specific letter of the alphabet or song that would make this easier on me? Thanks!

ok thanks bud, kind of a big inconvenience but ill take your advice and maybe to the playlist thing. and one last quick question, is there any way to turn off the ladys voice, because everytime i scroll to a different song she reads the name and it lowers my music. i looked everywhere for info on this, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best bet is to create a smart playlist for each letter (I use the artist's name). That way as you add music to your collection you won't have to mess with your playlists.

there was already another post about this, here was my answer

i do either two things
i have a playlist that is organized by artist alphabetically and i just skip songs to find an artist based on the song #
for example on my ipod the "m"s are near the middle of the # out of #
or you can search for the song on the actual ipod and play it then plug it in and it continue through the car
seeing as you have an iPod touch you should have considerably less songs on there than i do (i have 14,000 songs) and doing the first method should be easier
i only use the first method on my playlists (which are usually around 20-100 songs with one exception of 1200 4 and 5 starred songs)

I don't know if it will say the names of the songs on the Ipod, but if it does its the same feature that says the name of the station when you change the xm or the input or the buttons to navigate though the menus. It's called interface dial feedback. It's under set up. I know if you scroll though the songs in the HDD with the knob, it will read the songs, so i'm guessing it will read the songs on the Ipod too.
