I noticed that several titles users have mentioned as faves on their DCD-audio system are only available on SACD (Dark Side of the Moon, Brothers in Arms for example).

a. Do these play?
b. If there 5.1 sound?

I have been told by www.elusivedisc.com that SACD will not play on a DVD-A system, but Hybrid SACD will.

 

PURE SACD titles wil NOT play in the ELS system; hybrids, will.
DSOTM, is a Hybrid disc; it plays in 2 channel Dolby Pro-logic; (simulated surround sound); not perfect, but great for the HDD.
Brothers in Arms, is a 2 sided dual-disc; one side is DVD Audio/5.1 surround, & the other is 2 channel CD; (also downloadable to the HDD)
Obviously, the DVD Audio side, blows away the regular CD; it will NOT download to the HDD.
DTS discs, are also 5.1 surround, & will NOT download to the HDD; although for some reason, they show up on the Navigation screen, with title, & track listings; weird
Either way, the sound is damn good; even my Ipod sounds good.
