iPhone 5/Bluetooth/Spotify

Ok, well I tried to run spotify for the first time on the new iP5. Bluetooth is connected and nothing. Is there a setting in the phone I need to change?

Did you select Bluetooth as the source on the radio? Can you stream any other music source from your phone? Did you see what source your phone was connected to?

Yes, selected bluetooth as source. I haven't tried any other music service, but it is setup like my iP4 which I streamed spotify all the time. One more thing, it was plugged into the USB (to charge on way into work), but always did that. I need to play around more...just tried it out quickly this morning, but it was playing and did not stream and it is connected via bluetooth (used the HFLink already before just fine).

There is a glitch with iOS 6 that I discovered today. I have a Pioneer head unit in my MR-2 Spyder and my iPhone has iOS 6 on it (just upgraded a few days ago). The point is that iOS 6 has a Bluetooth issue that doesn't work well for streaming audio (in my specific case, audio will stream from my music and Pandora, but the controls and ability to toggle through my music is impaired). The problem is well documented on the net, and Apple is working on a fix for it.

My wife's iPhone has iOS 5.1.1 and it works fine with my head unit. It's a known problem with iOS 6 and hopefully there will be an update to iOS 6 soon.

I don't have a 4G TL, but since the iOS is at fault here, I thought you may want to know.

Quick update....the music is playing through the iPod USB link when plugged in. Still no bluetooth audio stream if not plugged in and BT is paired because it works with HFL.

This is a known glitch with ios 6 and it is already been mentioned by Apple on their support forums.
