Ok I just got a Iphone 4 and I cannot get it to play music while connected to the cable like my 3g, and my wifes 3gs do. It gives me a message basically stating it is connected to a non Iphone device on my phone, and while it charges it won't play music and it seems like the car doesn't recognize it. Does anybody with an Iphone4 know how to get it to play music via the cable and NOT via bluetooth. (I realize it works using bluetooth but I don't like using it as it drains the battery, and I never have bluetooth on.)

 

OK, I have had both the 3gs with OS4 and now the 4G and it plays fine in my 09 tech. First thing is to reboot your phone.WAIT unit the bluetooth connects to the car, THEN plug the connector into your iphone. Mine works most times without a reboot. Always make sure the ipod is not running in the back ground before you connect. Make sure wifi is off as well or there can be issues. Hope this helps.

 

Plug in the phone before you start the car.
Start the car and select AUX and it will work.

 

i have the same problem i just keep unplugging my phone then plugging it back in and it works....it takes me like 2-3 tries... i dont know y ....
