You know how when you turn the key off in a car and you can turn off the motor and let the radio keep playing. When the motor is running with the keyless feature and you press the button, everything turns off, radio, CD, etc. Is there a way to turn off the motor but not the radio when you hit the start/stop button?

try pushing the button without holding it, just a slight push. It works for me

If you have an automatic, simply push the button while not in "park" and the engine will shut off but the radio will stay on. As for manual, I have not figured out how to turn off the engine but leave the radio on without simply letting the clutch out and stalling the engine...

put the car in neutral and press the button then put the car in park.

Thanks for the tips. Keeping the car out out of park and pressing the start/stop button allows the engine to be shut off without turning off the radio.

Had to bump this thread since it's stickied... but with manual transmissions, one way to leave the car in accessory mode (motor off/accessories on) is to initiate a cellular call via the handsfreelink and then hit the start/stop button.
