Help With Audio announcing every radio station?

Just recently got a 2010 TL with the Tech package. I find that when I hit the Audio button and my "Preset" radio stations come up and I use the "Control Knob" to scroll from one to another it "Announces" each station thru the speakers? I find this not for me. But when I use the control buttons on the steering wheel it does not. Can I turn this feature off? Not to hear the radio stations outloud? Read manual to no avail, dealer not sure? Any help would be appreciated.

Congrats on your new TL!

I need to check this myself but I believe that if you turn that audio off, it also turns off the audio for navigation when you have a plotted route ( no voice to tell you when to turn). Check pg 94 on the navigation manual (not the owners one).

^^ Actually, I don't think that's right. I have that option disabled (to announce the song names and stations). I think it's called something like auto prompting or something... I wish i could remember the name.

Anyway, if you disable that, you can still get the navigation lady to tell you where you're going.

ok I think I found it. petec2010 is right. Look at the navigation manual, page 94, middle column. There's a setting called "interface dial feedback" and factory default is the announce stuff while the car is moving. You can turn that off there and it shouldn't interfere with your route voice.

Thanks so much

Excellent information, thanks everyone. I was going crazy hearing those anouncements while driving and then trying to find out how to turn it off for such along time. Even the salesman tried for like 20 mins. to no avail. Thanks again, it worked. Exact page number and everyting. Now I know where to turn to get the "Accurate" info on things with this "Tech" package. Enjoy.
