HDD, change 'Unknown'

Hello, just bought my 3rd TL and this one has the tech pkg with built in hard drive. When copying CDs is it possible to edit 'unknown' to reflect artist name and song?

Yes, select the album, then I think it is button "UP" for edit. You can edit album, artist, genre, and all of the songs on the album.

OP...as ^^^ said, its doable but after a few songs, I gave up. Its a major pain in the a$$ to manually change everything manually. I opted to just use my USB stick but even that presents its own challenges....no fault of the concept, just poor designing from the engineers at Acura! I have gone on enough rant about the USB so I'll spare you the drama but I am sure most of you know what I am talking about....

Oh yeah, I think you have to wait till the disk is done, then do it from the HDD.

I just bought a 2010 TL SH AWD and had to go through and edit an "unknown" album after uploading it. After it is uploaded, you can select the album and choose to edit it. It was a bit tedious and I went so far as to be sure the album, artist and song titles were capitalized properly. I chipped away at it while my wife was in stores shopping.

I don't even bother with the built in HDD, if you have a portable HDD or a USB flash drive with enough space, use those instead. It's easier and faster to move files and whenever you want to update or edit something. If you're looking to get higher quality music with bit rates in excess of 1000, lookup FLAC files of the songs you want. ELS makes my ears bleed rainbows playing FLAC files

How "new" is the disc you've ripped? For newer titles, they simply haven't been added to the Gracenote database yet; just ignore the "unknown" for the time being, and then when you update the Gracenote database (an update is available quarterly), go through the options and choose "Update Album Info".
