DTS Surround Sound display
DTS Surround Sound display
Over the weekend, I realized, that my DTS discs; (Eagles, Moody Blues, etc.), all display with titles, & song lists, on the Nav screen. I found it odd, because NONE of the DVD Audio discs display anything. Considering that both formats are 5.1 surround, it's, weird. Anyway, love my ELS

Yeah, it's irritating. Something with data/tag formats for DVD-A, I guess.
I do know when you make a home-made DVD-A and have 40 plus songs, it's a PITA to find one particular song or another.

I noticed this last year, that you can't include meta-data in DVD-A's? It is a PITA! I gotta check that DTS labeling, that's cool! Does it display in the VGA area, or down below in the skinny section?
The DTS discs display exactly, like their CD counterparts.
BTW: Have you guys noticed, that because of the Dolby Pro-Logic, CD's, Ipod, & HDD, music, play back in Matrix surround sound; not 5.1, but still better than normal 2 channel stereo. You can really hear the difference on Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon"; SACD/Hybrid. Just listen to "Money"; WOW!

The Pro-Logic sounds much better in the 4G than the 3G. I can't stand it in the 3G, not enought "surround" to overcome the loss of volume.
4G OE system is MUCH better overall than the 3G.

No question the boosted wattage sure helps from 3G to 4G. I was at the dealership today for my first oil change, and sat in a TSX and a non tech FWD with my iPhone plugged in. Not bad, but not good either. The 4G non tech had very similar coloring to the 3G but lacked in mid and bottom. The TSX was very bright and had a decent response, but no balls when you turn it up passed 25.
The Pro Logic was a automatic no no for me coming from the home theatre world, but I too feel it's pretty damn good! They didn't overcompensate the simulation to make it "shifty" or "ghosty". The stereo tracks are clear when processed, and most important to me is the sub actually responds a tad quicker? Still, my main issue at hand is the lack of attenuation for all frequencies or a sweep-able EQ. So sad, but I understand giving the average listener more options is dangerous.
