I test drove the 09 TL yesterday. Currently have an 06 RL but thinking of making the switch back to another TL.

I also test drove an 09 RL yesterday and noticed that the 09 TLs Nav looks to newer and improved.

It noticed it has a phonebook feature of being able to dial phone numbers from Bluetooth directly from the stored address book without have to say "transfer".

Is that a new feature only available in the 09 TL?

Nope, not new, my 3G does that too.

 

They started that in 07 . my 06 did not do that

 

You could have always dialed from the phonebook by saying "dial" or "call." If you mean transferring the between the phones to the car or vice versa or even changing between multiple phones in the car without saying "transfer" is a feature only in the 4G TL. There is a whole lot of other improvements in the nav.

 

Thank you for clearing this up. My RL lease is up and I was going to RL again but the new Nav in the 09 TL is awesome!

Are you familar with importing names/phone numbers from the phone into the TL navigation? Is there a limit on the number of numbers it can store?
