Convert XM to Sirius questions

Has anybody converted from XM to Sirius on the 4G w/tech package?
Is converting the the same as a 3G in this thread:
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-94/sirius-conversion-using-new-honsc1-635585/
Would you lose anything if you converted?
Any help would be much appreciated!

Just traded in an 04 TSX for 09 TL w/tech package! It is white diamond pearl with black interior. It is the wife's car and she loves it.

i didnt think you coud even do it in the 3g either...without having a different reciever....

besides, xm/sirius will be one in a matter of time...right now each offers some of the other for an added price ofcourse...

I was hoping it would be an easy conversion since we like sirius so much. I asked the TSS website and this is their reply:

Does the radio have the real time traffic option (also known as Tech Package)? If it has the real-time traffic or tech package, our conversion kit won\'t work with it. Otherwise, I think the HON-SC1 works with the Acura TL 2009. We haven\'t had anyone try one but we haven\'t been told it doesn\'t work - http://www.tss-radio.com/honda-and-a...ge-p-5608.html

My wife likes to listen to Howard Stern so I think we will just get the Best of Sirius.

It's a sad day when you fall in love with XM and then they change the programming. I've been listening to three main channels on XM and they've dumped them all. Well, XM 84 Chill, they've switched to Sirius' chill programming material, which is very mediocre. I guess I won't be renewing my subscription... Hello Pandora!!!

you could pay the 5 bucks additional for sirius a month and get xm and sirius?? I thought they were going to give us howard stern on xm.. that is why I called my congressman for the merger, then they went and charged a premium, which kind of sucks.

We added the Best of Sirius and my wife said she is getting some Sirius music channels too. It will be interesting to see what will happen in the future with the merger and channels.

It is just $4 a month to add the best of Sirius. Many XM stations have been switch to different channel names of the same music format.
