Breadcrumbs

I've looked for it everywhere and there's no such settings on the Navi. I wonder why Acura didn't include this with the 4G Navi as it runs off the HDD.

When I had my 3G, I switched the DVD unit in the trunk with an Accord one and that had breadcrumbs and I found it extremely useful. There's a lot of new areas being built and my friends are moving into those areas. Having breadcrumbs to follow around in a totally blank area helps me find my way out. It's a small thing but I really do miss not having it. Why can't Honda be consistent with their Navis?

Hey Gunner,
So what you're saying is I can switch out my 3G dvd unit with an Accord unit and have it fully functional with breadcrumbs?

Yup. I had an 06 A-Spec and this is what I did. It was a simple replacement. The graphics are much better too, more features and starts up quick.

It's in my 2010 manual on page 69 (Canadian nav manual) and is called Off-road Tracking. Looks the same as in my 06 TL but I've only had the '10 for a week and haven't been off the main roads yet.

Don1 is right -- the breadcrumb feature is still there and works the same as my '07 Type-S

Ah, so that's the breadcrumbs. Hmmm.. I'll have to give that a try. I thought I had that on too.

I've had the off-road tracking for a while now and still no breadcrumbs.

Go further into the woods, Hansel! They don't appear until you go a distance from a recognized road. They will certainly be there when you revisit the area.

I got it to work, once I drove away from the main road into a new subdivision (not on the map), then the breadcrumbs showed up, and stayed on the map forever... you can now see all the subdivision streets with dotted lines... (I drove around all the streets)

LoL! You guys crack me up. I guess it works differently in the TL. In the accord navi it even had breadcrumbs in parking lots.
