Question Breadcrumb question

On the 04 TL, the navi system would show breadcrumbs when I traveled off of known roads or in unverified areas. The 09 has not been showing the breadcrumbs - anyone else have this problem? I have tried various combinations of settings but havent been sucessful yet.

I have the opposite problem. I have breadcrumbs on the map where I know I've never been (and the car could not possibly ever physically be).

Very strange....

this happens when the car moves before the GPS can figure out where you are. It just starts following where it thinks the car is going and lays bread-crumbs.

I turned on breadcrumbs shortly after getting the car, but I've never seen it draw any on the map until recently, months later. Now I see them when I drive off the road into a large parking area or alley for example. Not sure what changed to make it start doing this.

Breadcrumbs on GPS maps are trails.

I don't remember what the setting is called exactly, I think "off-road tracking" or something like that. Basically when you drive off the mapped road, it will lay down dots on the map showing where you were. This is what we're calling "breadcrumbs".

And in some cases, the dots will already be there for an uncharted road, even if you haven't driven that road yet. Think Brady Bunch when they go off into the Hawaiian wilderness, and they lay down popcorn.

well i just checked and my setting for off-road tracking is on. When i go off the road, i don't see any dots or breadcrumbs or popcorn. how far off the road do you need to go? parking lot? driveway? middle of a field?
