Base Radio conversion to OEM Nav

Hi All, I searched this forum and could not find anything regarding conversion from stock base radio and screen to navigation unit.

The OEM navigation screen and radio for sale on EBAY and I need to know if the unit would just be plug and play into My 2010 Base AWD.

Appreciate any comments and Thank You.

I don't think it works that way. There are other parts to the nav system like Navigation unit in trunk, gps antenna, speed sensor-pcm, maybe others not sure.

Unless all the above is built in to the head unit you will need those as well.

Check your oil often and top off as needed. Thats really the only "additonal maintenance" the car needs.

Mr. Anderson.
I ended up going with a Pioneer NEX 8200. I've got Android Auto and Carplay plus an HDMI connection and some other goodies. I figured this would be a better upgrade then going with Acura's head unit.

How are you hooked up to the HDMI on the Pioneer NEX8200? Does you phone support the MHL connection? My Samsung Galaxy S7 didn't so I ended up going with a wireless solution.

Absolutely love wireless CarPlay on Alpine ilx-107. It doesn’t do much else than wireless CarPlay, but it does it perfect every time and very reliable no issues so far. IOS12 coming out with ability to finally use Google maps and Waze was a godsend for it!

I bought Samsungs HDMI to TYPE C adapter. I have an S8. The problem is that Samsungs adapter won't charge your phone while you play videos.
I ended up buying one that charges from newegg.

The cool thing about this adapter is that you can switch between screen mirroring to Samsung Dex. That was a nice option I didn't know I would have.

I just upgraded my maps last night from 2016 to 2018 on navtool. It's simple. Just make sure you've got at least 10 gbs on your external hard drive or USB
