Apple iOS 5 - Doesn't work with the Acura
Hello -
Have an iPhone 4, and recently upgraded to iOS5 and I can confirm that it no longer works with the Acura TL 2009. You can still charge the iPhone but you can not control the iPod integration via the radio. I had my car in for service and they said Acura has never released an update to fix any issues. So, I guess we are just stuck with the "Technology" that is built into the car. Beware if you are buying a new model as iOS5 is not supported.
I can still use Bluetooth for phone calls, etc... But the actual control via the USB port is gone.
Acura really needs to get an update out to fix this and some of the other bugs in the system.

I have a 2011 TL and my iPhone 4 with iOS5 works okay. The only issue I'm having is it will no longer play through a playlist in order. It seems to reorganize my playlist every time I choose a song within that playlist. This probably doesn't make any sense and that's because, well, it doesn't make any sense to me either.
For those wondering, the new iOS5 is suppose to send track information via Bluetooth but the TL doesn't seem to display track information from Bluetooth (at least not in the 2011).

My iPhone 4 and 4S both work fine with USB controls and BT audio
Oh, and BT track info is only available for the 2012 TL, not the '09-11

Yeah, I have shuffle off. Figures the 2012 has the BT track info but not the 2011. I bet they could release a software update for it to work on the 2011 but that will probably never happen.
If it's any consolation, the 2012 does not display the info from iPhone 4 as well due to iPhone BT impementation. Bummer! In case anyone has it working with iPhone, would be good to know!
Also, my playlists are working fine now. I don't know what the deal was. So the iPhone 4 with iOS 5 is working normal in the 2011 TL.

I agree it would be nice to at least have the feature updated in 2011 if possible.
Have any of you guys noticed this?

I'm wondering if it's an RDX (or me) only issue...

ipod nano problem with advanced awd tl 2012
2012 tl advanced worked for two weeks with my ipod nano and now no sound comes out even though it shows all songs on screen. Sound OK with hdd, xms, etc but not with nano. Dealer is stumped. I upgraded, rebooted nano with no luck....any help?
Have you tried any USB flash drive instead of the the nano? It may be that the USB plug/interface has gone bad.
I have ipod nano(latest version) and there is no issue at all. Works in all 3 of my vehicles.
My 2010 seems to forget that i listened to my ipod under my playlist. Seems like once a week i can plug my iPod touch in and i have to reset the audio options to shuffle songs and play from a particular playlist. I also hear a static/popping noise when i play thorugh the USB. I am convinced it is an Acura glitch in my car but none of the dealerships agree with me so i guess i have to deal with it
I also have a 2012 TL and my iPod Nano worked for approximately one month and now no sound comes out, too. My dealer is also stumped. Can anyone help? It seemed to quit about the same time that the free XM radio subscription ended. Could this have anything to do with it? Nano is totally upgraded and I also rebooted, but still no sound.
Libby - From your message it sounds as if you are connecting with the iPod connector. Right? Which version of Nano are you using? I would suggest trying an audio cable just to see if that works. I have a couple of Nanos and am willing to try some things if I have the right version.
