2012 TL Tech Voice Tag Problems
problem when I set voice tags of people I call the most. Followed the owners manual to the "T" When I set the voice tags of people I call, the system does not recognize the command "Call home" or "Call dad" even from the phone screen. I was told by the dealer AND by handsfreelink that people have complained about this problem and it has been forwarded to the higher ups. Instead of saying the name, I have to state the number that the speed dial of that person is connected to, for example, "Call 1" or "Call 2." Anybody else have that issue? I followed the instructions in the manual word by word, there are even youtube videos showing this feature working in other 2012 TL's, Thoughts?
I've had the same problem with my 2012 TL. I've spoken to Acura tech support who says they do NOT know of any problem. They were unable to walk me through it over the phone to get it to work. My dealer knows there is a problem but says I have to come in to officially log the problem so they can submit it. I have an appointment to drop my car of this Tuesday (7/26) to have the voice tag feature "fixed."
The upside is that the loaner car is a ZDX!

Got my car back (2012 TL) from the dealer. They provided a "workaround" that at least allows the voice tag feature to work to call names in the phone book. I have to say "dial by voice tag" then "dial" and the voice tag, but guess what...IT WORKS! They also said an update is on the way for a true fix.
New TL owner, voice dial challenges
I just picked up my 2012 TL Tech last night.
We the salesman couldn't get the speed voice dial to work during our orientation / setup. I was able to when ingot home, but only after going through 5 steps for each call- not the simple steps as described in the manual.
Any suggestions out there? This is one of the reasons I purchased the car, as I have a long commute.

There is an update and a TSB. I had it applied last week. I don't use Voicetags, but it fixed my other issues (contant phonebook importing every time you accessed it). The TSB also references that it corrects the voicetag problem. Ask your dealer.
Same Problem
Just purchased my 2012 TL SH-AWD with Tech on Tuesday night and I am having the same issue with Voicetags. Called my salesman and he seemed shocked. So not sure if this issue is intermittant or what.

Just received my 2012 TL and the manual states when making a call by voice tag; push talk button and state "dial by voice tag"; then push talk button and state dial; then talk button and the name of person on voice tag. (3 steps) I just traded in my 2009 MDX and as stated all I had to do was push phone button and stated name of person, then phone button and say dial. (2 steps), going backwards a bit of a pain I would say.

Just picked up an '12 SH-AWD Advance last night, and am already having this issue... Thought I was doing something wrong and even broke my cardinal rule about never reading the manual (seriously what good can come of that)

WTF Acura, based on this thread they have had a fix for at least four months and they don't apply it to new vehicles going out the door????

By the way, does anyone have a copy of this TSB so I can reference it when I call rather than getting the run around?
For that matter is there a list of TSB's so I know what problems to be on the lookout for?
