AM Audio and Hands Free Link Problems
Used 2006 TL w/o Navigation and 29,000 miles has Very Poor AM reception and HFL works properly only intermittently.
AM reception is poor and not comparable to similar vehicles tested, at least 4. Significant background static noted with distant stations that others pick up clearly. Dealers first response indicated that window tint could be problem. I confirmed that the window tint is not metallic and not the source. Dealer also cleaned antenna contacts with no improvement noted. Continuing to work with dealer on resolution.
HFL works properly about 20% of time. Usually static interferes with commands regardless of handset used. This also occurs for Setup commands. Occasionally it works fine.
Dealer also looking into resolution on this.
Any experience with these issues and resolution would be appreciated.
