Wood Trim?

I've been seeing a couple pics of 4G's with a walnut type wood trim

I feel pretty stupid not knowing anything about this, but I tried looking it up... and cant find any information? All I can find is the steering wheel

I checked Acura's website, HondaAcuraWorld.... nothing

Is this some knock off dash kit company? or is it an option for non-techs?

The wood trim comes standard on none tech package TL's. Tech package TL's get the titanium treatment.

Then you see the standard American Luxury cars and the wood trim is the upper model. If you don't have some of that fake wood trim you don't have the top of the line with them. I guess it shows you the difference in the drivers of each car.

I never had wood in my 3G's... i like the CF trim better, but i dont think that wood looks too bad, but i guess thats a picture. i should probably sit in a non-tech to get a better feel

Where does that leave drivers of cars with wood trim on the exterior of the car? Wally World anyone?

Just having that one area with wood trim looks out of place and it's like it was an afterthaught.
If they did wood trim on these cars, they would have to have all the silver pcs be wood. Talk about overkill! Can anybody say woody?

I think the wood on this car does add a somewhat of a classy touch. Too much wood everywhere screams "I'm fake!" but wood in subtle enough spots gives the allure of luxury. You're forgetting that Acura also sells the wood grain steering wheel (optional) as well as the wood grain automatic shift knob (also optional) which would go a long way in accentuating the very little wood that's there.

Resurrecting an old thread here, but can anyone confirm that a 2010 TL SH-AWD with Tech Package would not have the "Simulated Chestnut Wood Trim" that Acura lists as a "feature" on its website and in the TL brochure? I'm hoping it doesn't, since for the life of me I've never understand the use of fake wood in any vehicle, let alone one that is supposedly upscale.
