Painting the calipers?
Has anyone done it and where do you get the high temp (shiny?) paint? Is it as simple as removing the wheel? Or do you need to disassemble the caliper?
I don't need to have every single part painted, just the the visible surfaces that show when the wheel is mounted.
Right now it looks like crappy corroded spotty metal. I want a nice bright red color.

Three Wheelin'
Unless you replace it with true aftermarket like Brembo's, I wouldn't do it. Everyone will know it's fake and the paint will eventually flake or chip off.

I think the red calipers set off a nice set of wheels, but if you've never done it before, I'd advise buying a set of calipers and having them done or something. If you're uncomfortable / inexperienced doing a brake job on the car - I'd leave it to someone else.
It makes sense while doing this to go ahead and put some better rotors and pads on as well, if you're interested in performance, and not just red paint splashed on your brakes.

I am a bullet proof tiger
I spoke with Rotora about their R&D of a BBK. They seem to be dead set on acquiring a 2010 TL, I offered my 09. They stated there were "major brake component changes" from 09-10. I told them the only change that I was aware of was the application of a zinc based paint to stop the rusting. They took my number and said they would look into it. They are going to have a helluva time trying to find a 2010 TL in socal for testing...

Mademoiselle Chanel!!
I went to a shop where this guy customizes cars. I've spoken to too people and seen his work, he paints calipers and hubs with a high temperature paint. The 4 older camaro's he restored were hot...the calipers were painted to match the body color, sweet. If you get someone who knows what they are doing it can come out hot. I'm getting mine done this month. Another shop here in town did a few corvette's, one was in a major publication...the wheels, hubs, calibers were all done at that shop. They were extremely nice.
