Winter Mats & Trunk Mat

Hey guys I currently have Factory winter mats, but have been looking at the weathertech floor liners. Can anyone attest to their quality? Lastly any advantage to the weathertech trunk mat vs the Acura accessory trunk mat?

I also have weathertech for my front, rear, and trunk since I bought the car. They fit perfectly for the vehicle as well (make sure you state FWD or AWD). Only thing is I wish the trunk mat went up to the deck as well.

Pricey, but the best you can get. That being said check the factory heavy weather mats, some like BMW's are Weather Tech with the cars logo added to them. When they are you can sometimes get a better price from the dealer if its also mail order discount shop.

I have the factory all weather mats, I ordered them off ebay and I love them. No question you get more protection with the weather tech mats but I'm more of an OEM guy when I can be.

Does the OEM trunk matt cover both the lower and upper deck of the trunk? It looks like it does.

The big advantage to the Weathertech mats is that you can order them in one of three different colors (you might be able to tan Acura all weather mats, but I am not sure). If you are looking at the Weathertech liners, I have found some where the linings that go up the sides of the door sills can start to fold over in time. I would stay with the Acura all weather mats if you have the black interior, but if you have a light colored carpet, the tan or gray Weathertech liners might be nice.

For the trunk, I think it really comes down to which one you like the look of better. I don't think there is really a wrong answer on that one.

I also have Weathertech floor liners and they are awesome. Another brand which has come on the market is Aries. If you have a 2WD TL, you might want to check them out. They are made of 3 layers. A waterproof layer, a sound insulating layer, and a shock absorbent layer.

Lol same thing, 2WD = only 1 axle driven. FWD and RWD are both 2WD. The site designated it as 2WD, which is why I used that designator.

Does anybody know if the OEM trunk mat covers the upper portion of the trunk as the weathertech does not. The small pic I saw looks like it does, but it is hard to say for sure, if the pic is even accurate.

If you have an awd TL neither of them cover the upper portion. If you buy the Oem trunk mat and you have an awd TL, you have to cut the upper portion off.
