Window visors?

has anyone tried the new honda accord visors to see if they fit our tl? or the 2008 model tl visors? im not to fond of weathertech due to the fact that they slide into ur windows run channel, after a while they build a gap and stretch out the run channel causes ur window to vibrate when u take them off... went through this b4 and wont do it again? and ebay obviously doesnt have any after market for our cars. just wondering if anyone has tried any of these ?

I hadnever tried another model for our car...but I never had a problem with weathertech, usually if you install these they stay on until the end of life on vehicle or a new owner takes them off.

Excuse me... Did I miss something in my life? Why would people install custom visors?

I have visor and would not do without them. Without visor you cannot crack the window a hair without water coming in, when it rains. I for one like fresh air.

Love them on cars. Have had them on a few. Just don't think they look good on a 4th gen TL.

Yep, these were really popular in Japan. Not so much anymore.

When done right, it can look very clean:

When it is done wrong...:

Well, you get the idea.

I have the weathertechs on my TSX. I reason I have them is so I can crack the windows during the day and allow air to circulate in the car. In the summer in Houston it can get very hot and a sealed up car, sitting in the sun all day at work is not good for the interior. So being able to crack the windows open, even if it rains, helps keep the car cool (ok not 'cool' but 'cooler'!). I used to remove them in the winter but have just kept them on the last few years.

I would agree that the way the fronts install messes with the window track at the top of the door. But the option of sticking the thing to the paint is not any better.

It certainly is functional. I would love to crack a window here in Oregon. The moisture build-up during winter in the car is a bitch. But when I look at the options for both rides, they look dumb on the car.

Potmilkz,

I have no idea why you feel the need to post like a 14 year old. The link you posted was for the 2G TSX. The 1G TSX visors attach with clips AND adhesive.
