Angry Why didn't my spare key delete when I got a new one? Anyone had this issue before

I couldnt locate my keys late one night when I got home, I could start the car so I knew they were in there so I figured I would look for them the next morning.

The next morning I wake up, look for them and the car won't start. Someone I think went in my car and took them, I looked lirerally everywhere.

I hired a locksmith to come make me a new set of keys, he assured me that if someone did in fact have my keys they would not be able to access the car.

2 nights ago I have someone on video opening my car door, starting the car, and driving off with it. He returned the car oddly enough.

I just got back from the locksmith who said that they could see on their screen (using an Autel MaxIM IM508 computer to reprogram the keys) that successfully re-programming the key worked, but each time it says "2 keys active" meaning the old key was never deleted.

So now I have some guy running around with my keys who has 24-7 access to my car (I have cameras but they dont seem to do much), does anyone know anything about why the spare keys wont be disabled? They are saying it's a malfunction with the car's computer but I find this hard to believe, they're telling me I need to go to the dealership but I already paid the locksmith $300 for a new set of keys.

Any help or advise is much appreciated. 2014 TL

Locksmith should have known better. He should be able to clear the ECU of all older keys and just reprogram the new one and basically unpair the old.

They tried, and are using a legit machine, but no matter what happens 2 keys were still paired

At this point it sounds easier to wait in the bushes or whatever for this person to come back and get your keys back the old fashioned way.

You will need to go to honda/acura to use HDS (honda diagnostics system) to erase the key you do not have. I would honestly pull the fuse for the fuel pump until you get this resolved.

Do this sooner than later, esp with someone wanting to use your car. You don't want to end up on a murder/crime investigation.
