Immobilizer module not working?? Need help
So, I got a new key the other day because the previous owner only had 1 and it's all worn out.
Took it in today to program the immobilizer at Delray Acura here in FL, and the tech couldn't do anything and said he couldn't link up to it, it's not communicating. He said there was another module that wasn't working either but he couldn't figure out what's wrong. They want to talk to someone else that wasn't in till tomorrow and most likely want the car back...
Anybody have any insight? There are no messages, no CELs, car runs fine, the old key and the valet key work fine and start the car. I was able to link up the memory for the seats and stuff on the new key...??
Any input appreciated
Thx

Weird. If the car runs on the keys provided, all the tech is doing is adding one key. It is possible the max number of keys allowed are already registered. If so, he just inputs all keys lost and registers the two you provided and the new one.
Right.
I thought when you added a key the last one on the list gets knocked off.
That's weird too because does that mean you need to bring all your keys when adding a new one, so that your remaining keys don't get knocked off? You know what I mean, to make sure the one you no longer have is the one off the list.

Nope. The TL can have six keys max registered. If there are the max registered the it will block any attempts to add more. If there are keys lost, the best route is to enter all keys lost and start again. Regi the three and redo the remotes.
