Want to paint the rear plastic trim
It seems as though, there isn't much you can find on the 4gen TLs in DIY projects. I want to paint the plastic piece that sits between the trunk and bumper. Has anyone ever took it off? The two reflectors at the rear of the bumper as well?

Are you talking about the black unpainted peice between the mufflers or the chrome peice?
Reflectors are in the vehicle so you don't get hit by a car while you're parked. I would leave them alone.

You can vinyl wrap the silver peice that's what everyone does vivid has some really good wrap. There are like a million threads on that alone here in performance and modifications. Take the rear bumper off before popping it out it's alot easier because if you break a clip you'll want a new one. And if you break the rear lip it isn't super cheap. But you can paint it or wrap it. Use a soft plastic clip remover or pry tool.
As well as YouTube. The reflectors I would personally leave them alone it's technically illegal since we dont have reflectors in our tail lights. but you could smoke, paint or wrap them as well if they bother you not to hard to remove with the bumper off as well.

The inconvenient truth
Definitely consider wrapping them. It's not too hard, cheap and easily removable.
For instance my taillights, chrome trim under trunk and reflectors are all wrapped.

Your TL looks badass bro murdered out and clean! I was thinking doing my taillights, but I just love how bright they are. I'll be in a drive thru at and look back at the person behind me and watch them cover their eyes from the lights. I've never worked with vinyl before, but I Know I can do it. Is that a diffuser? If so where did you get that from?

Diffuser from eBay search Ikon universal diffuser. It's gets added under the stock diffuser. Needs a little trimming to get it to fit but it's really easy to do. There's a write up on here about it too.

The inconvenient truth
Try to get the one that matches the shade/texture of the stock diffuser so it matches. Just trim it and screw it on there. If you like the 2 piece look then you are done.
I decided to add some black silicone in the gap between it and the stock diffuser so now it has a 1 piece look.
