No answer for the how to remove, sorry.

But consider painting over it? like smoke paint it?

You intend to replace them with something else? Otherwise, wouldn't it leave two indentations where they were?

Good point... I never thought of them for deterring tail gater. They should be OK as passive rear-fog-"light" though...

Heck, just the other day, there's a guy tail gating me in a panel van Maybe becoz the reflectors hurt his eyes so he decided to close the gap even more so he won't even see them!!

haha well ive been thinking of where i can find some superbright leds that are strong as the h1s to use as "auxiliary" lighting, you know when u get jerks like that just turn them on and ull have some extra space back there.... that and possibly some ones for the front.... i figured since theyre LEDs theyll be sorta harder to notice? i dunno i usta know this guy who had some big hella aux lights underneeth his back bumper on a jeep cheroke (sp) comming over the bridge hed get the brights and instead of wasting gas slowing down he kept going the same speed but flipped on these bright bright fogs and they disappeared... probaly seeing stars.

the best part was that u didnt really notice them all that much cuz they were under the bumper and basically not in direct site

Keep in mind that painting these/smoking them will be as illegal as smoking your rear lights. Those reflectors are there for a purpose. You're required by law to have them there, so that basically someone doesn't rear-end you. The TSX doesn't have natural reflectors in its rear tail lights, so that's why they added the reflectors on the bottom of the bumper.

Did not know these reflectors were usually part of the rear tail lights and were required by law. Is their placement on the bottom of the bumper unique to the TSX ? Can't say I have noticed any other make using them in that spot.

As far as I know yes, this is the only USDM car that uses those reflectors on the bottom of the bumper. But then again, this is off of 2 minutes of searching on so don't quote me on that

Exclamation

I know how to remove them you need to pop them out from the back while getting leverage with a thin flat head from the front, make sure you dont scratch your paint.

This is what I did to mine.................took 5 minutes each and 4$

P.S. Dont Smoke unless you have a CG or NHB, even then it might be ricey
I saw a CG 04 Accord with smoked out everything, not too nice.

I know that both the Mazda 3 & 6 have these reflectors as well as the Infiniti FX. I'm sure there must be others, but I cannot think of any off the top of my head.

The BMW E46 3 coupes have them too.

Only issue I have with ours is that when I take rear pix with flash on, they show up shinning so harshly... (probably I should just improve my pix-taking skill )

Step 1: turn flash off
Step 2: take picture
Step 3: enjoy!

Thanks but howz about in darker condition, like inside the garage... flash off, tripod and lower shutter speed? A digi-cam on a full size tripod should look interesting. Anyway, I shall give that a try

Anyway, now that I do notice other cars w/o separate rear reflectors do have some type of reflector elements inside their tail light assembies. I learn something new

Or just rest it on top of a small box or something to get the right angle
