Hey all, so I decided to vinyl wrap the grille on my 4G TL.

I ordered 3M Scotchprint 1080 Gloss Black Film.

However, I was wondering how to remove the center Acura emblem from the grille without pulling the bumper / full grille off the car.

did you bother to search? there is a thread in the same section you posted in.. infact it is like the 5th thread down..

you will need to take the beak off but only the part with the a-logo and not the whole grill

 

To answer your question, it may be do-able but expect a few cuts on your arm. You have to get a small screw driver (phillips) to remove the black piece. there is actually only one screw that holds the black piece to the grille. The other screws hold the emblem to the black piece. You should remove the emblem, because it makes it easier (less firm) to pry out the black piece from the back. You have to pry up on the little black clips and it will come out.

Honestly, it is best to remove the bumper.

Just remove the grill. You dont have to remove the bumper. There is a PDF with step by step instructions from carid.com. Once you have the grill out, you can remove the emblem in 30 seconds. Good luck, as that grill is a beast to remove - especially the two end clips.
