Exclamation TL SH-AWD on track (Videos)

Had a few friends going to track last week so I just brought the TL to the track for fun.
All of them are all tuned so it makes the TL the slowest...lol
Unfortunately the audience seat can't see the whole track, thats why it only can see the 2 straight way...(and forgive me for the bad quality coz I don't have a video camera...lol)

The TL are very responsive on the track using the +/- shift. Cornering are the most fun and what I wanted to play the most. The handling are just perfect and precision!!! I stepped hard on every corners and the car just smooth on every curves.

But there are some bad things:
I used the stock 18" Michelin Tires on the track, when on the dry surface it performed "ok"; but on that day it suddenly start raining and when I just turn a bit...the car just slip away and totally loose control!!! If is not the VSA and the SH activated I believe I'll go on the grass or the walls....

Also on the straight road I hit the speed to near 180KM, when I step on the brakes, the brakes like can't stop the car at that speed and it started to have a burning smell...after few laps I pull to the pit to rest the car and the instructor suggested the brakes just can't stop the car at that high speed. He also told me not to do that again and suggested the most safety speed for this car's brakes on the track is 140KM only...

But overall experience were very very fun and is worth to go on a tack.

Too bad I still don't have time to install the Takeda Intake and get the new exhaust systems.
For sure It'll be more fun if the car equipped those mods.

I think that the best way to improve your lap times is not to get the Takeda Intake or exhaust, but instead, get dedicated track wheels and high performance tires and also get a set of EBC brake pads at the least (Yellow Stuff). That will ensure you can brake later, which will improve your times.

The TL brakes will not stand up to fast lapping sessions on the track. If you plan to track it, first get some more serious pads. If you don't, you will probably getting a lot of pad transfer to the rotor face, if you don't end up off track first. And from some searching the web, there is not many aftermarket pads for the 09/10 TL to use for hard work.

Yes you are right! The stock brake pads can't hold the car on the track!
Even when the car hit 180km, the brakes cannot stop the car! The steering wheel was very shaky and also after the first few lap the people at the pit and in the car can smell the burnt smell of the brakes.

But anyways, I just want to bring this car on the track to feel how good is the AWD system.
