Hi,

I will be getting my 2008 TL tinted and it was recommended to install moleskin to prevent the tint from scratching.

Are there any disadvantages to installing this product since i was told that the inner stripping needs to come out. Does removing this cause any water leak issues, noise problems when driving?

I had it on my 2005 ABP TL. Never had an issue with it scratching or water getting down into the door. Hope that helps. I would recommend it, though I have no experience without it.
