And NBP04TL3ME my DRL don't turn on until I release the hand brake.

Good point by you but with most TLs being automatic, going to guess not many drivers are using their e-brakes. You have however, pointed out an option for them.

The 4G TL key sensors do not allow the vehicle to be locked with the fob outside the car while it is running...additionally, the trunk will not stay shut with the fob inside (Keeps your wife from locking the keys inside the fucking trunk, I know this because mine tried).

I guess this is where heavily tinted windows have some benefit.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the DRL's don't go off by pulling the e-brake. Would love it if you could get them to shut off when parked.

try setting the parking brake, then turn off your car.

turn on your car and the DRL's should be off until you touch the parking brake.

this was an old school trick that I employed on some of my other vehicles.

I believe justn is correct. It's been a while since I messed with this and haven't really had the need, but seem to remember this will work.

Critical thinking would give OP the benefit of the doubt which to me showed him starting up his car in his driveway, realizing he forgot his wallet or sunglasses, car already on, you are literally a minutes away from grabbing your wallet, leave the car running, run inside the garage door, into your bedroom grab your wallet, back down the stairs 50 seconds later out the door and car is gone.

I myself would leave the car on as Id think turning it off then back on is a waste of my ignition coil. LOL Id pull the same thing in my neighborhood.
not me, I will turn the car off, LOCK IT, and then go back into the house.

Common sense indicates you never make it too easy for someone to take your things.

Total fail on your part man,

MOST areas have a do not leave your car running unattended laws. TO TRY AND KEEP PEOPLE FROM STEALING YOUR CAR. Hello? common sense anyone?

I first used this trick on a '98 corolla.

then showed my brother how to do it on his '99 Malibu.

this trick probably dates back to when DRL's were first implemented.

The real question is why you needed this "trick" in the first place
