Swap Out Your Interior Vanity Lights In The Sun Visor

And replace them with LED's You can't believe the difference. Bright, pure white LED's complement the car's other interior lights. Why Acura didn't spring for the few dollars it would have cost them to install these as original equipment is utterly beyond me.

I'm not a "do it yourself'er" and I just swapped out the yellow OEM bulbs for the LED replacement bulbs. Took me all of around 90 seconds for all four lights. Just gently pry off the plastic light cover from the bottom, then pull out the light that's in there held on by two spring loaded clips using a bic pen top (you'll want to use something plastic as metal could, potentially short something out) and pop in the LED. Put the plastic cover back on (top in first) and you're done. Repeat with the other three lights and now your car has a complete set of interior lights that look 'right' together. Those horrible yellowish things they put in the car are gross and completely clash with ther car's otherwise lovely white interior lighting.

If you want to know where I got the LED's, here's a link to the exact lights you want to order. (I can't say enough about this website. They had the bulbs to me in NYC in three days): http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/V...-p7114848.html

Happy driving. I'm loving my TL!!!

ABSOLUTELY!!!

You guys rock. No way I would have done this without your help. Sorry I didn't give you the props you so rightly deserve. I forgot who it was who gave me a hand on this. You guys are the best.

Thanks again!

Fleshtones look better and healthier under yellow light. The blueish LED lights give you the color of a corpse.

That's why they did it.

While it looks nice, I don't see a need to do that myself. I'm a guy and never used that mirror for the last 5 years. Before that I couldn't remember
So I think I'm going to waste money if I do that. License plate looks nice too, but that for viewers. I'm inside the car and can't see that.
I only replace doors with blue, glove box and armrest with white.

You did those other swap outs and you won't do the vanity lights? that's just funny! It's the easiest mod for lights, it takes like 4 minutes to change out, and it costs around $10 bucks. I don't plan on using the vanity mirrors either for myself, but for me it just looks cosmetically correct whenever you do flip them down to match the rest of the interior theme.

Right! I leave it stock. The issue is not easy or difficult to replace or about money. I just never flip down the mirror cover to use the mirror. So if I replace them, they are just there and never be seen or used. So why bother?
