More updtes, the mold is actually at the factory! I can't believe what it took to get this damn project underway. The ABS plastic sides and rear are also at a different factory where we plan to produce it, but the electrical aspect of the factory is being worked out.

As of now however, everything in regards to molds is where it needs to be. We will be making the front lips first effective immediately. Sides and rear should be ready to start in 1-2 more weeks.

Gonna make 2 sample front lips, then test fit and go right into limited production.

gonna make about 10 kits now, then 40 total.

We already have the first lip done, have to cal Ryan to test fit. We also had to incorporate the front lip ledges seen in the sample pic prototype to make sure the front doesn't sag. So we are able to make lips this week and sell them.

We'll be contacting everyone who placed preorders before.

And the RonJon front lip will cover the holes drilled for the OEM front lip, so yes, it will work with your TL if you had the OEM kit on previously.

Ryan's being scheduled in for the next day or so for a test fit with the new parts of the front that will prevent sagging (a problem we had on the 1st version), then right into production, which should be no more than 3 business days.

Ya - i've got a couple scratches/gouges on my front lip - this would make a fine replacement.

Just as long as fit and finish is there. What about a rubber OEM seal? Not happening huh? Maybe we can purchase it from the OEM lip and transfer.

When i did my one-off front lip spoiler Acura dealers did not have those rubber seals to buy as a separate item. So I got the rubber seals that is used on the toyota camry from toyota dealer and it looks and fits just like the oem acura ones.

We are work8ing on the lip and pricing now, I'll get the site updated with the new info as soon as it becomes available.

As for the seal, we actually leave that up to the customer. The route Nexson took would work, but we also use this method:

Some more pics of the semi test fit, Wednesday Ryan is scheduled to come in for a true test fit, and if all goes well, 8 days later or less we will have 10 lips ready to ship. pricing is still being worked on, but ti should be between $400-$500 depending on the quote I get for the fiberglass lower splitter piece.

Our new ABS plastic factory is working on the electrical systems in the facility. As soon as that is complete, we will go right into production. The molds are over there and this particular factory has some of the workers who actually engineered the molds, so they will be familiar with the production. I'm estimating 1-2 more months, but maybe sooner if they get this last step taken care of.

It all comes with the needed screws, bolts and 3M tape in raw urethane.

The pricing will be $420 for the lip alone and $470 for the lip with the splitter.

Shipping varies, but is on average $80-150 depending on address.

10 kits re built, just waiting on the boxes to arrive and the 3M tape / screws to arrive.

We will be making the fiberglass splitters to be included for additional.

Heres a pic of the 10 kits, splitters are available in 3 days.

There are screws that go inside the wheel well in place of the OEM screws. Then there is 3M double sided tape all around. It's molded to the front, so it follows the same contour. The front has some new support tab that prevents sagging of the front. You can see them a little in this pic:

Just raw polyurethane. Our new factory doesn't have the paint option.

Ron, if possible, can you get that picture of the final test fit. That little support tab concerns me comestically. Is it sort of an after thought? I just want to make sure it blends in for that coin

They were a solution to the sagging problem we initially had. There is not too much of depth on the front intake openings for the lip to have support in the middle. So we had to add those on. They look a little gapped in pre-production pics above, but I think they will work well and blend in.

Tell me about it, thats the difference between factory that understands the industry and one that is run by shady management. The whole time the delay was trying to get our molds from a borderline criminal.

Another word...the original shop wants to keep your mold unless you cough up more $$ for them to release it to you......
