My guys are all on the West coast already, and the difference is not in fabrication, we already have that. Actually it's the production, since the molds are built already.

Is your fabrication and production process in 2 different states?

I always thought that production is the easy part, since the molds are already done. Creating the molds should be the most expensive and time consuming part of the whole process.

Ron has mentioned his focus is on the 3rd gen kit for now, so I am sure once he finishes up the 3rd gen kit, he will get to the 4th gen kit, by the time the 5th gen comes out.

Actually, imagine you make a mold that requires some trimming, time to cure and other detailed info that will make or break the results. That info is not recorded or shared between factories. So even if one factory has the molds, they need to know what to do once the part comes out. I have literally had the older employees and manager on the phone finding a few places that will allow them to do the contract work, basically sub contracting the factory to do limited production runs. It's not in my best interest to deny sales, but along the way I don't want to lose my mind or create a sub par product.

Complaining won't make it here faster. This is something those of us who were disciplined as a child learned at an early age. If anyone here is so upset over a body kit for their vehicle because it's taking way more time than originally mentioned,...they must be a tad bit addled about what's worth getting disconcerted over in life. I'm sure someone will reply with a very impudent comment,...seems like everyone's a badass online these days. so your saying if you pre-ordered an exhaust for your TL, and the supplier told you at first to wait 3 months, then he keeps leading you on, and now it turns into a full year, you wouldnt be pissed? you deposited your money and there is nothing out of it but false promises?

if your reply is "i learn to be patient, this is what i was taught as a little kid" then please do not reply back..

Good way to put it. Ron has offered a refund of the deposit I believe, but the monthly promises keep the depositers from getting a refund and this keeps this thread going

I mean in all reality Ron is no more than a Honda/Acura enthusiast just like us with very smart business sense. Hes not like a big company like Honda or Acura themselves with endless resources and in the business of modding at this level things don't always go smooth.

But if you feel so dissatisfied then why not just request for your deposit back instead of complaining here? Wouldn't that be the logical thing to do?

Right on Elegant, if unhappy pull your deposit. Ron himself said this might not happen because of all the issues he has had.

ive been saving up for a lip kit and I really want one.so if we dont get this going im probably going to go the oem route. does anyone know if the front lip will fit into the same holes as the oem front? if it does i might go oem now and then get ron's when it comes out.

I assume it will fit with some additional adhesive to hold it up.

This would be considered a milestone, we have the material, and the molds have been moved from the old warehouse to a new one. My factory delivery guy is picking the mold up this coming week and we are going to open it up and hopefully go right to production.

Now this is just four the front lip, not the sides or rear, that has to come from a different factory who deals with ABS plastic vacuum forming. That factory is still getting their electrical equipment running. So at least the front lip will be done and we will start with a select few being made to see how the new factory deals with it. This new factory has already produced a few parts with us and the quality was great, so I have faith.
Still working on some red tape bullshit with the old factory who was basically using the molds as collateral so we could continue to use them once the relocated. But trust was an issue.

I will keep you guys updated as I receive more info from my broker in CA.

The combination of the Grill and front spoiler is a super combo and looks GREAT! I would get the grill and front spoiler if and when BOTH were available...
