Replacing Windshield Wipers

What's the best windshield wipers for Houston's weather? I'm looking at Bosch Icon, Rain-X Latitude, and Michelin.

This traditional wipers always make noise, but there's not streak.

I haven't tried them on my TL yet since it's only a few months old, but I've been using these for years with very good results:

The pure silicone blades seem to work effectively and quietly while lasting much longer than other blades I've tried.

I'm giving these a try. They are from a Honda Accord Crosstour. They fit a little better than the Bosch or Valeo alternatives.

The Honda Accord Crosstour looks great on the TL. Adds a bit more luxurious feel to the car IMO.
Just don't know why Acura did not use boneless wipers for the TL in the first place.

I scored some PIAA silicone ones off Amazon for $20 a set. We get rain/snow/ice from September to March here, and they've held up like a champ. A year old and no streaking. Designed to work with the RAIN-X, PIAA Silicone (included) window coating.

couple of questions:

1) has anyone tried using the ZDX wipers on the 2012 TLs? I checked the parts and they looked like the same dimensions as the original wiper blades.

2) what the difference between the Bosch Icons with the number "4" in front of the size, 426A, versus 26A?

thanks.

this is the part:
http://www.bernardiparts.com/Honda-F...CROSSTOUR.aspx

The online picture doesn't show a one piece design. I guess you can call your local dealer to double check, and price match

There's a member on here that used the zdx blades so you should be fine using those also.

Whoa, nice mod. Are these wipers exactly the same size as the OE wipers?

They are the OE Honda Accord Crosstour wipers and are plug 'n play. They look just like the TSX wipers.

Didn't know that. Will check them out next time I'm at the dealership.

I used to spend WAY too much on blades. I was always replacing them, calling Bosch's 800 number while drunk to bitch about how shitty their blades were. One day I went to the auto parts store and asked the parts kid, "I keep going through wiper blades every 3 months, should I get the more expensive ones?"
He said, "If you are going through blades like that you should get the CHEAP ones."
Viola!

They are all about the same. Buy the cheap ones and...

SAVE YOUR MONEY!

My vote is for those chrome ones with double blades from Autozone/Advance Auto Parts/etc. LOL! Kidding of course! I wonder if they even still make those. I will admit I had them on my '87 Chevy Cavalier with mirror tint

I'm curious to see how well the Rain-X wipers work.

I've been underwhelmed by the Rain-X. A set didn't last all winter last year.

Or you can just replace the refills.

do the crosstour (and zdx) wiper blades have the option of changing out only the rubber blades? I see from the parts store that you can order them separately.

Ah, kinda answered your own question there, friendly. If they sell the wiper inserts separately than you can, therefore, just replace the wiper insert part.

I agree that they look better but is there any difference in function.

Can't say for certain, but I imagine the aero properties have to help a little bit.

Hate to bring back a dead tread but I have to replace my blades for the 1st time and I'm interested in do this swap. Anyone who has done this, do you still have the Crosstour blades or have you gone back to OEMs? How has it held up since you've changed them?

I still have the Crosstour blades. I think they are the same as the TSX blades. I think.
