Purchasing a 2012 TL SH-AWD

I'm considering purchasing a 2012 TL SH-AWD. I have a 2002 TL now. The lowest the dealer has gotten is 40,200 (before tax/tags/etc). Any thoughts? Can anyone tell me what they've paid, or if 40,200 is a good or bad deal? Thanks.

Is this price for Base, Tech, or Advance?

If you're looking for an automatic, you can probably get a bit lower, but that's a pretty good price. Look on truecar.com and you can see that they have a best price of $39.793. If you like your dealer, it might be worth $400 to buy it there or see if they're willing to negotiate. Good luck!

Depends where you live but that is a pretty good deal! I got my AWD TL Tech for 40,000 and I was very pleased with the deal!

Invoice is $40,693 including destination fee. Through 11/30/11, there is $1,250 dealer cash. You should be able to land the vehicle for approximately $39,500.

It is all but guaranteed IF you do one simple thing ... walk away. Head to the dealership around the 25th of the month, test drive, look, smell and walk. You HAVE TO WALK, no matter what. Be very polite, don't burn any bridges ... but walk.

Make sure that during the process, you provide your name and number. The phone will ring and you will get your deal before the end of the month.

Thanks so much. I will certainly try that. Just curious, how did you find that out?

Really depends where you live and what dealer you go to. I got the same in SoCal just a month back for $38,000 before taxes etc but nobody else would match it. The next closest was $39,100 and then several around $40,000.

shopping for an new tl, sounds like fun! $40,200 seems like a decent price.

if you check out the " 4G tl owners sign in " thread, that can give you a good idea what people have paid.

it should be at the top of the main 4G tl page. be sure to take some pics when you get it, and post them.

I purchased a brand new 2012 TL w/Tech Package SH-AWD for 40K out the door (including tax title etc) in late September of this year. I live in MD but got the car from VA. The best price I could get in MD was close to 43k OTD, so going to the neighboring state did help me save about 3k.

BTW, I did not get any thing extra on it and financed with Acura. I dont know how competitive the market is in Wisconsin, but I think you should be able to get the car for 40 - 41K OTD. Its almost end of the year and all of the other premium car makers are offering deal, so I dont see any reason why Acura wont be willing to make a deal with you. Also, did you make them an offer? I will say offer them 41K OTD and see what they say.

The MSRP on my car was 43500 + the taxes and all. Hope this helps.

Also check the link below to get an idea of what the other Acuraziners paid for theirs. That will help you get a bargain.
